Objective

RMS Exceedance serves as an annual hub for industry thought leaders, product experts, and colleagues to gather and explore future innovations in risk technology. With our client’s face-to-face plans eclipsed by COVID-19, RMS turned to InVision to help evolve their Montreal-based program into a completely virtual experience. Under a 3-week timeframe our design, strategy, and production teams assembled to build out a comprehensive platform from the ground up that replicated the 5-day format of their original live event.

With the global landscape facing unprecedented disruption, the goal of Exceedance 2020 was to provide a much-needed source of confidence and resiliency for customers in order to overcome any future unforeseen risks. We had our work cut out for us – to quickly design a successful virtual event experience that met the level of sophistication, content delivery, and audience engagement that the client was seeking.

Solution

In tandem with RMS’s brand, digital, and executive teams, InVision produced the following range of program elements:

  • A fully developed virtual platform hub including a networking lounge and resource center, designed to serve as an extension of RMS’s digital brand identity
  • Pre-recorded content including 4 keynotes and 60 breakout sessions, edited with transitions, lower thirds, and enhanced production quality
  • Facilitation of live audio Q&A for a “simu-live” broadcast experience
  • Creation of supplementary motion media assets such as navigation tutorials, landing page videos, theme graphics, and sizzle reels
  • Keynote delivery and at-home production training

Result

Exceedance 2020 was successfully transformed into a more inclusive rendition for RMS while keeping their original May 4-8 timetable. What typically brought together 800+ live attendees, was expanded to host 1,700+ virtual registrants. Exceedance 2020 content will stay available to registrants going forward in an on-demand capacity.
